WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 2017

10.10.2017

POLAND

This year, to celebrate World Mental Health Day, we organised a series of workshops for students and teachers

-  first year students met specialists who talked about manipulation created by the media and the Internet and games as a trap

- senior classes had a workshop referring to the problem of depression - second year pupils talked about personality disorders caused by pseudo role models created by the media

- teachers participated in a meeting dealing with  job burnout

There were also some less serious events. The school game, as last year, and relaxation workshops. These workshops were rather unusual. The students didn't try out any new relaxation techniques. They created lap books presenting their favorite, tried out ways of fighting stress and relaxing. These workshops resulted in a nice collection of colorful and, most importantly, meaningful lap books. Have a look!

BULGARIA

The Bulgarian project team decided to dedicate different activities to mental health awareness throughout the whole month of October.

  • We had an integration art meeting and created a poster dedicated to mental awareness. The poster was shown in the school corridor.

  • There was a trek in Stara Planina Mountain under the motto “Mental Health Awareness”.

  • Project team students prepared a leaflet, focusing on mental health and ways to relax in our hectic lives. The leaflet reached various age groups in the village of Chelopech.
