LICEUM OGÓLNOKSZTAŁCĄCE IM. NOBLISTÓW POLSKICH RYDUŁTOWY

 

Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Noblistów Polskich is located in Rydułtowy, a small town in the south of Poland. The region, Silesia,  borders with The Czech Republic and it is also very close to the Slovakian border. There are over 22 500 inhabitants in the town.  It is mainly an industrial area. There is a coal mine in the town, as well as in the sorrounding towns and cities.

 

Our school is a general secondary school preparing pupils for higher education. Our students are between 16 and 19 years old. After three years of attending the school they take the school leaving exams and they can continue their education at universities and colleges. It is a small school, there are about 270 students and 30 teachers. 

A few years ago we introduced additional classes aiming at preparing our students to work in police, fire fighting and emergency services as well as in the area of culture. We  try to create a friendly environment for the students, which is possible mainly becasue of the fact that we are a small school and none of the students is anonymous for us.
